About

We built Liftorfor real weeks.

Liftor is a workout and meal-plan app for iPhone that rewrites today's training, food and rest every morning around how you slept, trained and recovered.

Why we made Liftor

A training plan works for the week it was written for. Then the week changes: a late night, a work trip, a cold, four hours of sleep. The plan stays the same, and you are the one left to fix it, by skipping a session, guessing at dinner or starting over on Monday.

We wanted one app that does the fixing for you. Training, food and recovery in the same place, reading the same morning, so a bad night changes all three together. It had to remember what you lifted, what you ate and how each day went, and use all of it tomorrow.

Liftor rewrites your plan every morning. A one-minute check-in and Apple Health go in; today’s session, meals and rest come out, with a note on what changed and why. It moves the plan a little, where it matters, and leaves the rest alone.

We sweat the small parts too. Rest times depend on the lift. The shopping list rounds 568 g up to 600 g so one trip covers it. Supplement doses stay under the published limits. The only confetti in the app is for a personal record.

Liftor is built by Lakshay Bhati, who reads every email sent to the address below. The steps it runs each morning, with their numbers, are on how it works.

Which Liftor is this?

The workout one. The name is shared with a delivery company in Surat, a maker of adjustable desks in the Czech Republic and a forklift-certification business at liftor.com. None of them will plan your training. This one is Liftor - Workout & Meal Plans on the App Store, and nowhere else yet.

Principles

Five rules. The app keeps them so you do not have to.

  1. Principle 1. The plan bends. The date does not.

A bad week moves the sessions around the date. It never moves the date, and it says plainly when there is not enough runway left.

  2. Principle 2. Read before asking.

Anything it can read from Apple Health, it reads. What it has to ask, it asks in one screen, in the morning, in under a minute.

  3. Principle 3. Keep what tonight needs.

Data is kept because tonight’s session reads it, not because it might be interesting later. What else is kept, such as error reports and usage events, is listed in the privacy policy.

  4. Principle 4. Say the remarkable thing flatly.

There are no exclamation marks on this site. If the number is good, the number will do.

  5. Principle 5. Somebody else cooks.

The people around you are part of the plan. The meal plan is written so the person who cooks can read it without the app.

  • 3parts of your day rewritten each morning
  • 6check-in fields each morning
  • 5workouts before the score counts
  • 4documents you can hand to anyone

Contact

Write to a person.

One address, read by a person: questions, something that broke, press, or anything about your data. Replies take a day, two if it is a good day for training. For anything about the app itself, the questions on the download page are answered first.
